Policy Question<\/strong><\/p>\n

In primary care, how should malpractice be regulated? Should it be by civil or criminal courts, self-regulation by physicians\u2019 organization or a combination?<\/p>\n

Methods to Answer the Policy Question<\/strong><\/p>\n

To answer the research question, the Â鶹ֱ²¥ Health Policy Analysis Committee conducted a literature search using the terms \u201cprimary care\u201d AND \u201cmalpractice\u201d AND (regulation OR administration). The committee also conducted discussion of the available summary of evidence to develop its recommendations.
